Soft Town Strip Hall (Group Show) , Vermillion Sands, Copenhagen, 3rd March 2023

“The title references the location in the main square opposite the Town Hall and the term soft strip, the stage of a total building renovation where all ‘soft’ materials have been stripped out and only the load bearing structure remains. It is in this raw state the exhibition will take place, in the short period before it is expensively re-fitted and becomes downtown office space again.

This project continues an ongoing investigation into the role of the artist and the art space in neighbourhood change while situated within broader discussions around place, capitalism and identity. The exhibiting artists, in more or less direct ways, deal with themes like lifestyle consumerism, urban regeneration, land use, architecture and more.”
